Sometimes, not always, the label has one of the following:
DANGER a few drops can be fatal
CAUTION a teaspoon can be fatal
WARNING an ounce can be fatal

Left Over Latex Paint

1. Is it latex or oil-based? Latex can be cleaned up with water. Oil-based requires paint thinner and is hazardous.

2. Dried out latex paint can be tossed. Leave the lid off for a day, add some kitty litter or dirt to absorb the excess and toss the can in the trash.

We offer support services to “green” businesses who make an extra effort to protect the environment from HAZARDOUS waste by-products. We can suggest cost-effective disposal options of their small quantities of hazardous waste. EPA’s definition of CONDITIONALLY exempt: Generates or stores no more than 220 lbs. of acutely hazardous waste and no more than 2.2 lbs. of acutely hazardous waste.
